One held with huge drugs in Dinajpur

DINAJPUR, Feb 1, 2025 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive arrested an alleged drug peddler with huge drugs from Sadar upazila frontier area last night.

The arrested was M Warez Uddin, 35, a resident of Kamalpur village of the upazila.

On a tip-off, a BGB team conducted a drive in the area around 11 pm and arrested Warez Uddin with intoxication tablets, phensidyl and foreign liquor, said ABM Zahidul Karim, commender of Phulbari BGB 29 Battalion.

The seized drugs include 10,466 pieces of intoxication tablets, 25 bottles of phensidyl and100 bottles foreign liquor, a motorcycle, cash taka and mobile phone.

A case was filed with Dinajpur Sadar Kotwali Police Station in this connection.

The arrested man along with the seized narcotics and other goods were handed over to police.
