DHAKA, Feb 1, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Navy in joint operations arrested four terrorists in Bhola and Khulna districts today.  

The arrestees are identified as Gias Uddin, Hasan, Mamun Howlader alias Pasting Mamun and Amjad Hossain Akash.

Bangladesh Navy Contingent  ‘In  Aid to the Civil Power', , with the help of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and police personnel detained terrorists Gias Uddin and Hasan from Shyampur area of Rajapur union in Bhola Sadar   on the basis of  secret information at midnight (Saturday) , said in an ISPR release.

During the operation, Navy seized one local pistol, two rounds of cartridges, one single barrel pipe gun, a machete,   a knife, five mobiles, one laptop and CCTV equipments, the release added.

In another operation, Bangladesh Navy arrested Mamun Howlader alias Pasting Mamun and Amjad Hossain Akash in the Gobarchaka area under Sonadanga police station in Khulna.

Mamun Howlader is one of the top terrorists of Khulna while Amjad Hossain Akash, was wanted  who was sentenced to  life time imprisonment and fugitive in Jashore region, the release said.
