3 school students missing in Fuljhore River in Sirajganj

SIRAJGANJ, February 1, 2025 (BSS) – Three school students have reportedly gone missing while bathing in the Fuljhore River under Kamarkhand upazila of Sirajganj on Saturday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 3 pm in the Jhatibelai area, when five ninth-grade students from Collectorate School and College in Sirajganj  went to visit their friend Zarif's house and  went for a bath in the Fuljore river  . Though  three of the students managed to swim to the shore, three others – identified as Rafin, Krishna, and Sarjid were swept away in deep river water and went missing.

Local police and fire service personnel launched a rescue operation immediately after the incident.

 The Rajshahi diving team has been informed  and  joined  the search operation.
