Two killed in accident on Dhaka-Bhanga express way

MADARIPUR, Feb 3, 2025 (BSS) - Two people were killed and 15 other injured in
road accident in Munshibazar area under Shibchar upazila on the Dhaka-Bhanga
express way this morning.

The deceased were Bacchu Mia, 37, son of late Hashem Kha hailed from west
Bhasantek in Dhaka and Manik, 39, son of Mannan Bepari hailed from Katchpur
in Dhaka.

Being informed, Police reached to the spot and recovered one body and injured
people from the spot, said M Mizanur Rahman, Deputy Sub-Inspector of Shibchar
Highway Police station.

Police added victim Bacchu and Manik were heading toward the capital boarding
on a pickup during early hours today and the pickup fell down beside the road
as another vehicle hit the pickup from behind in Munshi bazaar area at 5am.

Bacchu Mia died on the spot while Manik succumbed to his injuries at Shibchar
Upazila health complex at 6am.
