RAJSHAHI, Oct 2, 2025 (BSS) - Rajshahi Tennis Complex is all set to host the J-30 International (U-18) Tennis Championship-2025, scheduled to begin on Saturday (October 4).

A total of 58 players, including 38 from 19 countries, are expected to participate in the forthcoming week-long international tournament.

Talking to BSS, Convener of the tennis complex Muhammad Habibur Rahman said all necessary preparations are now in the final stage. Tennis courts have been painted and floodlights installed.

Initially, a total of 149 players from home and abroad had registered to take part in the tournament. However, a number of Indian and Nepalese players withdrew their names due to the Durga Puja festival.

Habibur Rahman said the players are scheduled to arrive from tomorrow (Friday). "We have arranged accommodation for them in Parjatan Motel and two other hotels in the city," he added.

Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Khondoker Azim Ahmed is expected to attend the inaugural ceremony on Saturday afternoon as the chief guest.
