Various smuggled goods seized in Satkhira

SATKHIRA, Oct 19, 2025 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today seized various smuggled goods including Indian sarees, burqas and medicines in separate anti-smuggling drives from different border areas of the district.

These goods were seized from different border areas under Bhomra, Kalyani, Kushkhali, Toluigacha, Kakdanga, Madra, Hiljadi, Chanduria and Jhaudanga BOPs under Satkhira Sadar and Kalaroa Police Stations. 

On a tip-off, BGB teams conducted drives in the areas and seized the smuggled goods worth Taka 16.50 lakh, said Satkhira BGB-33 Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Md. Ashraful Haque.

The seized Indian goods have been submitted to Satkhira Customs.
