RAJSHAHI, Nov 17, 2025 (BSS) - Sweetmeats were distributed here today welcoming capital punishment against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina to death for crimes against humanity committed during the July Mass Uprising. 

Leaders and workers of National Citizens Party (NCP) distributed sweetmeats in Shaheb Bazar Zero Point area this afternoon.

They also chanted “Sheikh Hasina Swirachar, Delhi Tumi Pahradar” slogans during distribution of sweetmeats.
NCP city unit convener Mobashwer Ali, Member-secretary Atiqur Rahman and Joint Conveners Sarwarul Haque Rabin and Nahidul Islam, among others, were present.

The NCP leaders expressed their satisfaction over the verdict given by the International Crimes Tribunal-1 (ICT-1) today.

They demanded execution of the verdict after bringing Sheikh Hasina back to the country from India as early as possible. 

Meanwhile, BNP leader Nazrul Islam and his followers held a rally expressing satisfaction over Hasina’s verdict in Puthiya area this afternoon.
