BGB urges public to report illegal infiltration, drugs, smuggling at border

DHAKA, March 10, 2026 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has said that it is always vigilant in preventing illegal infiltration, drug trafficking and smuggling along the country's borders.


In a public awareness message, the border force urged citizens to come forward with information if they notice any suspicious activities related to illegal border crossings, drugs or smuggling.


BGB authorities requested the public to report such information through the 'Report to BGB' mobile application or by dialing hotline number 01769600555.


The force emphasized that public cooperation plays an important role in maintaining border security and preventing cross-border crimes.

BGB also assured that any information provided by citizens will be handled with confidentiality and necessary action will be taken promptly to ensure security along the border areas.
