Ctg police nab 2 AL-BCL activists after flash procession

CHATTOGRAM, Dec 1, 2025 (BSS)- Fatikchhari police in the district arrested 
two activists of Awami League (AL) and its banned student wing Bangladesh 
Chhatra League (BCL) during a raid conducted after a group of party activists 
brought out a flash procession in Nanupur area of the upazila last night.
 
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Fatikchari police Nur Ahmad said they came to 
know through a video footage went viral in social media that at least 10 to 
12 AL activists led by Md Zahid, a NRB in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), 
brought out a torch procession that began from local Laila Kabir College Gate 
and ended at in front of Binajuri Green Tower. 

The musk-wore helmet covered participants of the procession disappeared from 
the scene hurriedly, he added. 

Police conducted raids in nearby areas and detained two AL and BCL activists-
- Md Ershad and Ridoy.
 
The OC further said drives are on to identify and nab the rest of the 
participants.
