BOGURA, Dec 12, 2025 (BSS) – Members of the intelligence unit arrested a youth, who escaped from a prison van on the Bogura court premises, from the Subgram Haat area of Sadar Upazila this morning.

In-charge of the Bogura District Detective Branch (DB) Iqbal Bahar said police arrested Shahin alias Mirpur, 19, son of Nur Alam of Subgram Chanpara area under Sadar Upazila.

According to police, Shahin escaped from the premises of the Bogura Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court around 6 pm on Thursday while he was being taken back to prison after appearing in court.

Earlier, local people caught him and handed him over to police around 8 pm on December 10, after he was found roaming suspiciously in the area adjacent to Akbaria Hotel.

“We began tracking his whereabouts through various sources after he escaped. Shahin was arrested in a raid this morning on the basis of specific information,” Iqbal Bahar said.
