9 students get BRAC MedhaBikash scholarship in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, Dec 13, 2025 (BSS) - Nine secondary-level students from different academic institutions in Sadar Upazila of the district received MedhaBikash Scholarship from BRAC under its Education Program on Friday. 

In this regard, a function on scholarship distribution was also held at the district office of BRAC, an international non-government development organization, in the town here at noon. 

Accountant of the Education Program at the organization Siddiqur Rahman attended the program and distributed scholarships to students on behalf of the organization.

Each student received TK 6,000 as a scholarship from the organization. 

Speaking on the occasion, Md. Siddiqur Rahman, in his speeches, stated that the organization has initiated a scholarship program designed to assist meritorious but economically disadvantaged students attending secondary-level institutions across the district. This initiative is designed to support them in their academic activities without financial difficulties. 

Accordingly, the scholarship was distributed to the meritorious but poor students here, he added. 

Divisional manager of BRAC Md. Jalal Uddin, Program Organizer Beauty Khatun and other officials and staff were present on the occasion.
