Blankets distributed among 300 cold-hit people in Nilphamari

NILPHAMARI, Jan 9, 2026 (BSS)- Blankets were distributed among 300 cold-stricken people in the district on Friday.

Organised by the Bangladesh Scout and Guide Fellowship with support from Shahjalal Islami Bank, the distribution took place at Palashbari Degree College ground in Nilphamari Sadar at noon.

Acting President of the Bangladesh Scout and Guide Fellowship Brig. General(Retd.) Shamsul Alam Khan attended the programme as the chief guest.

Convenor of the winter clothes distribution committee Md Russell Rahman Shimul, executive member Mostafa Kamal Apu, members Engineer Md Anwar Hossain, Sadek Hossain Sunny, Ashiqur Rahman, Shahid Jahan, and Palashbari Degree College lecturer Md Abdur Rahim, among others, were present on the occasion.

Speaking at the programme, Shamsul Alam Khan said that the Scout and Guide Fellowship distributed 300 blankets among the helpless cold-affected people as part of social responsibility.
