
JENAIDAH, Feb 17, 2026 (BSS)- Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) here today started selling essential commodities at subsidized price among people.
Initially commodities were sold at five points in the district town on mobile trucks which will be expanded at upazila level.
The people can buy a commodity package which contains 2 liter edible oil, 2 kg red lentil, sugar 1 kg, chick-pea 1 kg and dates 500 grams at a price of Taka 520.
The card holder beneficiaries are purchasing TCB commodities regularly while the lower income people who are not registered as TCB card holder can buy goods from the mobile trucks.
The designated five TCB selling points are located at Jenaidah town bus terminal, old DC court premises, Arampur intersection, Mahishakundu intersection and in front of Youth training centre.
On the first day, commodities will be sold among 2,000 families, said TCB Jenaidah camp deputy director M Akram Hossain.
The TCB commodity selling programme through the mobile trucks will continue till March 12.
The programme will continue for 20 days and 40,000 lower income people will be benefited from the programme, said the TCB official.
