Rab seizes illegally stockpiled fuel in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, April 28, 2026 (BSS) - Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have seized a large quantity of illegally stockpiled fuel in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi district.

Legal action was taken through a mobile court following the seizure. The operation was conducted on Monday afternoon by a team of RAB-5's Rajshahi Company Camp in Nazirpur village of the upazila.

According to a press release issued by RAB-5 today, fuel was being illegally stored at the residence of one Rasel Hossain in Nazirpur village.

Acting on the information, the law enforcement team carried out the drive in the presence of Executive Magistrate and Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shamsul Islam, who also conducted the mobile court.

During the operation, authorities seized 550 litres of diesel and 22 litres of petrol from the site. The mobile court later ordered the confiscated fuel to be sold through a local dealer, with the proceeds directed to the government treasury.

In a separate drive, a mobile court operation was also conducted at M/S Robiul Traders in Chhoy Ghati Bazar of the same upazila. Around 350 litres of diesel were found stockpiled there.
