TANGAIL, June 03, 2026 (BSS) - A man was killed in a road accident in the Shubhulla area on the Dhaka-Tangail highway in Mirzapur upazila of the district today. The deceased was Mehedi Hasan, 32, hailed from Kushtia district. He was an employee of Nasir Group.

The accident occurred when a passenger bus hit a motorcycle, leaving its rider Mehadi dead on the spot. Gorai Highway Thana SI Shah Alam confirmed the incident and said they seized the bus. Legal action will be taken in this regard, he added.
