
NARAIL, June 10, 2026 (BSS) - A Partner Field School (PFS) was held today in Narail Sadar upazila of the district with the participation of local farmers.
The workshop took place at Sadar Upazila Auditorium under the initiative of the Upazila Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE). Farmers from different blocks attended the event to receive practical training and share their field-level experiences.
Narail Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Mohammad Abdul Salamwas inaugurated the programme as chief guest with Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension, NarailMuhammad Arifur Rahman in the chair. Narail Zila Parishad Administrator Bir Muktijoddha Md. Mostafizur Rahman Alek, Narail Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer T.M. Rahsin Kabir and Senior Monitoring Officer of the Department of Agricultural Extension, Khulna Region, Krishibid Md. Mosaddek Hossain were present as special guests.
Narail Sadar Upazila Agricultural Officer Md. Roknuzzaman, Advocate Mahbub Morshed Japal and Abdullah Al Amin were present at the programme.
Deputy Assistant Agricultural Officers of the concerned blocks were also present.
Speakers said that the PFS is playing a significant role in expanding modern and sustainable agricultural technologies at the grassroots level. They said that hands-on training and the introduction of new crop varieties and technologies can help farmers increase production while reducing costs.
During the session, farmers received guidance on modern cultivation techniques for various crops, disease and pest management, and the balanced use of fertilizers.
