KHULNA, July 27, 2026 (BSS) - Police arrested three alleged associates of Khulna's listed criminal, known as 'Grenade Babu', in a special drive conducted in the city today.

The arrestees were identified as Sheikh Asaduzzaman Mithun, 28, of Kashem Road, Md Tipu Hawlader, 29, of the Bosupara Orphanage Mor area and Md Enamul Haque Emon, 20, of Polytechnic College Mor under Khalishpur Police Station.

Khulna Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Shafiqul Islam said the three were close associates of the notorious criminal and were arrested from the Rupsha Ghat area.

He said Mithun is accused in several criminal cases, including murder and illegal arms charges.

The three were produced before a court and later sent to jail, the OC added.
