RAJSHAHI, July 28, 2026 (BSS) – Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) rescued a girl who was allegedly kidnapped recently from Lakshmipur Chaurasta Police Box area in the city.

An operational team of RAB's CPSC Company conducted a drive in front of the Lakshmipur Chaurasta Police Box in Rajshahi city on Monday afternoon and rescued the victim.

On July 10 at around 8:45pm, the victim was returning home with her mother. When they reached the road adjacent to Deshlapara Bil under Damkura Police Station, Md Sakib, 21, and his associates allegedly abducted her forcibly.

Later, following a complaint from the victim's family, a case was filed with Damkura Police Station, and RAB-5 launched a shadow investigation.

After the rescue, the victim was handed over to Damkura Police Station for necessary legal action.

Operations by law enforcement agencies are continuing to arrest the other accused in the case.
