RANGPUR, August 4, 2026 (BSS) - Like other places in the country, the people of Rangpur are ready to celebrate July Uprising Day-2026 tomorrow (Wednesday) by paying deep respect to the martyred and injured sons and daughters of the soil.
 
In addition to BNP and different socio-cultural and political organisations, the district administration has taken a comprehensive programme to celebrate 
July Uprising Day- 2026 in Rangpur city in a befitting manner. 

As part of the programme, celebration of the day will begin with a wreath-laying ceremony at the July Monument in front of the Public Library premises 
of the city at 10 am. 

Then, at 10:30 am, a reception will be held at the Rangpur District Shilpokola Academy Auditorium to welcome the families of July martyrs and 
July warriors. Later, a discussion will be held there highlighting the significance of the day. 
 
On the occasion of the day, special prayers and prayers will be organized in all mosques and religious places of worship in the district after Zohr 
prayers or at convenient times. 
 
In addition, film and documentary film screenings provided by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will be held in the auditorium or in open spaces 
at convenient times. 

Initiatives have been taken to keep government and private or autonomous organization museums open to the public without tickets from morning to 
evening. 

Besides, all government and private entertainment places in Rangpur district will be open to children and there will be arrangements for exhibitions 
without tickets. 

Marking the day, improved diets will be served to inmates of all government hospitals, jail, government children's homes, child rehabilitation centers, 
disabled welfare centers, day care and child development centers and homeless institutions in the district. 

In addition, instructions have been given to organize discussion meetings, writing, recitation and painting competitions highlighting the significance 
of the day in all educational institutions in Rangpur district at convenient times.
