RAJSHAHI, Aug 5, 2026 (BSS) - Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton today visited the grave of July Mass Uprising martyr Sakib Anjum in observance of the July Mass Uprising Day-2026.

Riton, also the general secretary of Rajshahi Metropolitan BNP, visited the martyr's grave at Tikapara Graveyard in the city at around 8:00am. He offered prayers and joined a dua and munajat seeking eternal peace and forgiveness for the departed soul.

Rajshahi Deputy Commissioner Kazi Shahidul Islam, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Naimul Hasan, and Sakib Anjum's father, Md. Mainul Haque, among others, were present.

The dua and munajat were conducted by Maulana Nazmul Islam, Khatib of Rajshahi Collectorate Mosque.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Sabur Ali, Rajshahi City Corporation Secretary Sohel Rana, Boalia Thana (East) BNP President Ashraful Islam Nipu, General Secretary Alauddin and local leaders and dignitaries also attend the event.
