TANGAIL, Aug 5, 2026 (BSS) - A 60-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a passenger bus in Ghatail upazila of the district today.

The accident occurred at noon on the Tangail–Mymensingh regional highway near the Ghatail College intersection.

The victim, identified as Shahiton, was crossing the road when a passenger bus hit her. She died on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ghatail Police Station Md. Moksedur Rahman confirmed the matter and said necessary legal proceedings are currently underway.
