RpCC -RCMCH sign MoU on primary healthcare

RANGPUR, Aug  6, 2026 (BSS) - Rangpur City Corporation (RpCC) and Rangpur Community Medical College and Hospital (RCMCH) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on primary healthcare programme to provide advanced medical services to the city’s marginalized communities. 
 
RpCC Administrator Advocate Mahfuz Un Nabi Don and Rangpur Group Managing Director Md Nazmul Ahsan Sarkar signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions in a ceremony held at the RpCC conference room this afternoon.
 
Through this, Rangpur Community Medical College Hospital will provide free advanced medical services at various health centres of the City Corporation to the marginalized communities twice a week- Sunday and Tuesday. 
 
In addition, the hospital will provide advanced medical services to the residents of the City Corporation at a low cost. 
 
The Managing Director of Rangpur Community Medical College and Hospital, delivered a speech as the main discussant at the event. 
 
He expressed his determination to play an effective role in improving the quality of primary healthcare for the city dwellers through this joint initiative. 
 
Addressing the occasion, the RpCC Administrator highlighted the importance of such integrated initiatives to provide quality and accessible healthcare at the doorsteps of the city dwellers and expressed his sincere gratitude to all concerned. 
 
“An important step has been taken towards ensuring better, integrated and people-friendly healthcare for the citizens of Rangpur through the signing of this MoU,” he said. 

RpCC Chief Executive Officer Md Rakib Hasan, Chief Health Officer Dr Kamruzzaman Ibne Taj, Rangpur Group Additional Director Md Mirajul Muhsin, among others, were present at the event.
