RAJSHAHI, Aug 11, 2026 (BSS) - Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Rajshahi Range Ashiq Sayeed has exchanged views with representatives of the Bus-Truck Owners Association of districts under the Range on various transport-related issues.

The meeting was held at the Padma conference room of the Range DIG Office on Monday afternoon.

The discussion focused on addressing problems faced by transport owners on highways, ensuring smooth passenger and goods transportation, and improving road safety.

The transport owners highlighted various problems and their expectations, while the DIG assured them of taking effective measures to address them.

He also instructed officials concerned to remain vigilant and take necessary measures to stop the operation of unfit vehicles, reckless driving and overloading of passengers or goods to prevent road accidents.

The DIG also stressed strict compliance with traffic laws and safe and responsible driving.

The meeting was attended by the Additional DIG (Crime Management), Superintendents of Police and other senior officials of the Range Office.
