BANDARBAN, July 9, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today sentenced a man to death for killing his wife in Lama upazila of the district in 2019.

Additional Sessions Judge Arun Pal pronounced the verdict in presence of the convict, said Public Prosecutor (PP) of the court Advocate Alamgir Chowdhury.

The court also fined convict Kamal Hossain Taka 40,000.

According to prosecution story, convict Kamal strangled his wife Kadar Banu to death over a family feud at Aziznagar village in Lama upazila on November 1, 2019.

The victim's brother Akbar Hossain filed a case with Lama Police Station against Kamal Hossain.
