CHANDPUR, Oct 20, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today sentenced two people to 
life imprisonment for killing an easy bike driver after snatching cash from 
him in Dakshin Islamabad village under Matlab Uttar upazila of the district 
in 2020.

The convicted persons are Arif Hossain, son of Md. Nurul Islam of the 
Pradhaniya Bari of Dakshin Islamabad village and Md. Sabuj, son of Shahidul 
Islam of Pradhaniya Bari of Induria Islamabad village of the upazila.

The court also fined them Taka one lakh each, in default, to suffer six 
months more in jail.

Senior District and Sessions Judge Shamsunnahar delivered the verdict on 
Monday afternoon.
