Fire in capital's Purana Paltan law chamber under control

DHAKA, Jan 7, 2025 (BSS) - A fire, that broke out in a law chamber of a multi-storied building in the capital’s Purana Paltan area this morning, is brought under control.

Six fire engines doused the flame in over one hour frantic efforts at 10:30am after the fire originated in the law chamber on the second floor of the four-storey Manikganj House at 9:17am, fire service media cell officer Talha Bin Zasim told BSS.

Two platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel were deployed to help the fire service bring the inferno under control, said a brief message of the BGB.

The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be known immediately.
