KYIV, Ukraine, April 20, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - The governor of Ukraine's southern Kherson region on Saturday evening reported Russian drone attacks that came after a truce announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin began at 6 pm local time (1500 GMT).

Governor Oleksandr Prokudin wrote on social media that at "around 18:00" an attack by eight Russian drones set fire to flats in a high-rise block and later in the evening three drones hit two villages, adding: "Unfortunately, we do not observe any lull" in the fighting.
