KHULNA, Oct 3, 2025 (BSS) - Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Professor Mia Golam Parwar on Friday announced Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has finalized full-scale preparations for the upcoming national elections by fielding candidates in all 300 constituencies across the country.

Speaking as the chief guest at a reunion of Khulna City Unit Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) at the Al Faruq Society auditorium, Parwar said, "Every worker of Jamaat must now enter the election field with full strength. The time is most appropriate to send Deen (Islam) to the people under all parliamentary constituencies."

He urged former ICS student leaders and activists to once again play an active role in shaping the country's future.

The event, held under the slogan "Drawn by Harmony, Back to the Roots (1977-2025)," was marked by emotional reminiscences.

Prof. Parwar fondly recalled the contributions of several former leaders, including Aminul Islam Biman, Sheikh Abdul Halim, Amanullah Aman, Rahmat Ali, Abul Kashem Pathan and journalist Sheikh Belal Uddin, describing their sacrifices as a shining chapter in the party's history.

The recollections created a deeply emotional atmosphere in the auditorium.

Khulna City Unit Shibir President Arafat Hossain Milon presided over the event while Secretary Rakib Hossain conducted it.

Jamaat's Khulna Regional Assistant Director Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Khulna Metropolitan Ameer Prof. Mahfuzur Rahman, District Ameer Maulana Emran Hossain, Metropolitan Nayeb-e-Ameer Prof. Nazibur Rahman, Metropolitan Secretary Advocate Sheikh Jahangir Hossain Helal and several former Shibir presidents and secretaries were present, among others.

Besides, Narail District Jamaat Ameer Advocate Ataur Rahman Bachchu and other leaders of Jamaat and Shibir also addressed the gathering.
