LAKSHMIPUR, Dec 4, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie today said that, unlike previous polls, the upcoming national election will be held against an invisible force.

The BNP leader made the remark as the chief guest at a brief rally before a mass procession held at the Rajibpur area of Lakshmipur Municipality this afternoon.

Annie, also the District BNP Convener and the party's candidate for Lakshmipur-3 (Sadar) constituency, said "the BNP has directed us to go door to door to seek votes."

The senior BNP leader said Begum Khaleda Zia is respected not only in Bangladesh but across the world. Governments of many countries are inquiring about her health, issuing statements and offering medical assistance, he added.

Expressing gratitude to the Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus, Annie said, "We are overwhelmed as the government has honored Begum Khaleda Zia."

District BNP Member Secretary Sahabuddin Sabu, Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Vice-President Wahid Uddin Chowdhury (Happy), Lakshmipur Poura BNP President Rezaul Karim Liton, and District Mohila Dal General Secretary Fatema Akhter Sumi Bhuiyan, among others, attended the programme.
