JHENAIDAH, Dec 4, 2025 (BSS) - Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman today said that the killers of three-year-old Saima Khatun Saba will be brought to justice without delay and that no one attempting to mislead the investigation will be spared.

"Those who try to divert the investigation will not be spared," he said while speaking to the family members of Saba at the Jhenaidah Circuit House this morning.

Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Al Masud, Local Government Division Deputy Director Rathindra Nath Roy, District Council Administrator Selim Reza, Jhenaidah BNP President Advocate MA Majid, General Secretary Zahiduzzaman Mona, and Jhenaidah Press Club President Asif Kajal, among others, were present.

Replying to a question from journalists, the Attorney General said those who attempt to hamper the prosecution process will be brought under the purview of the law.

"We believe in a lawful judicial system, and that is why no crossfire incidents have occurred since the July Uprising. We have stopped the culture of enforced disappearances and filing of false cases," he added.

Saba, daughter of van-puller Saidul Islam of Pabhati area in Jhenaidah town, went missing on Wednesday morning.

Later, police recovered her body from the house of neighbour Santona Khatun around 9pm.
