DHAKA, Aug 10, 2025 (BSS) - Testimony in three separate corruption cases
against ousted former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to begin
tomorrow in the capital.

These three cases also include 47 others accused including her son Sajeeb
Wazed Joy and daughter Saima Wazed Putul.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the cases accusing Sheikh Hasina
of abusing her power during her tenure by unlawfully allocating 30 kathas of
government land under the Purbachal New Town Project.

The hearings will be held in the courtroom of Judge Mohammad Abdullah Al
Mamun at Dhaka's Special Judge's Court-5.

The court has issued summons for the three plaintiffs-- ACC Deputy Director
Salahuddin and Assistant Directors Afnan Jannat Keya and SM Rashedul Hasan to
appear and testify in their respective cases.

ACC Public Prosecutor Mir Ahmed Ali Salam confirmed the matter to BSS stating
that preparations for the testimony proceedings have been completed.

ACC Deputy Director Md Salahuddin filed one case against eight, including
Sheikh Hasina, on January 14 for abusing power in allocating a 10-katha plot
in the Purbachal New Town Project.

including Sheikh Hasina and her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy on the same day, in this
connection. He submitted the charge sheet against 17 on March 10.

ACC Assistant Director Afnan Jannat Keya, on January 12, filed another case
against 16 people, including Sheikh Hasina and Saima Wazed Putul. The
