DHAKA, Sept 19, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecast light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places across the country over the next 24 hours, beginning at 9:00 am today.
"Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Sylhet divisions," according to a bulletin issued by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) this morning.
It added, "One or two places over Rajshahi, Barishal and Chattogram divisions may witness similar weather with moderately heavy falls at places over the country."
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the Met office predicted.
It further said monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
On Thursday, the highest temperature recorded was 35.5 degrees Celsius in Patuakhali, while the lowest temperature was 24.0 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.
In Dhaka, the sun will set at 05:58 pm today and will rise at 5:46 am tomorrow.
