Earthquake jolts Jashore

DHAKA, Sept 27, 2025 (BSS)- A 3.5-magnitude earthquake jolted Jashore and its adjoining areas today.

The quake occurred at 2.27pm, with Monirampur located about 157 kilometres southwest of the BMD Seismic Centre in Agargaon, Dhaka, according to the Meteorological Department.

No damage has been reported so far.

Earlier this month, a 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck Assam in India on September 14, followed by a 4.0-magnitude tremor in Chatak, Sunamganj, in the Sylhet division on September 21.
