Govt appoints new DCs in 15 districts

DHAKA, Nov 9, 2025 (BSS) - The government has issued a notification appointing new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in 15 districts.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued the notification on Saturday night transferring 6 DCs to other districts and assigning 9 officers of the rank of Deputy Secretary as DCs in 9 districts. 

According to the notification, Bagerhat DC Ahmed Kamrul Hasan has been transferred to Noakhali, Kushtia DC Abu Hasnat Mohammad Arefin to Habiganj, Bhola DC Md Azad Zahan to Gazipur, Barguna DC Mohammad Shafiul Alam to Dhaka, Sirajganj DC Muhammad Nazrul Islam to Gaibandha, and Khulna DC Md Tawfiqur Rahman to Bogura. 

Sylhet Zila Parishad Chief Executive Officer Sandwip Kumar Singha has been appointed as DC of Barguna, while Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) Secretary (Deputy Secretary) Md Aminul Islam as the DC of Sirajganj, Personal Secretary to the Commerce Adviser Md Abdullah Al Mahmud as the DC of Magura, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Abu Sayeed as the DC of Pirojpur; Zonal Settlement Officer (Pabna) of the Directorate of Land Records and Survey Afroza Akhter as the DC of Satkhira, Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) of Local Government Department (Feni) Golam Md Baten as the DC of Bagerhat, Personal Secretary to the Chief Adviser's Special Assistant on Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology SM Jamshed Khondaker as the DC of Khulna, Director of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) Md Iqbal Hossain as the DC of Kushtia, and Cabinet Division Deputy Secretary Dr Shamim Rahman as the DC of Bhola.
