DHAKA, Dec 11, 2025 (BSS) - The 13th national election and the referendum on the July National Charter will be held on February 12, 2026 (Thursday).

"Voting will take place on February 12, 2026, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm," Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin announced the election schedule in an address to the nation this evening.

According to the schedule, the last date for submission of nomination papers is December 29, and scrutiny of nominations will be held from December 30, 2025 to January 4, 2026.

The deadline for filing appeals with the Commission against the Returning Officer's orders is January 11. The appeals submitted to the Commission will be disposed of from January 12 to January 18.

The last date for withdrawal of candidature is January 20. Election symbols will be allocated and final list of the candidates will be published on January 21.

The election campaigning will continue from January 22, 2026 till 7.30am of February 10.
