US Ambassador meets Tarique Rahman

DHAKA, Jan 19, 2026 (BSS) - Newly appointed US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T. Christensen paid a courtesy call on BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman.  

The meeting was held at BNP chairman's political office in Gulshan at around 4pm, according to BNP media cell member Shayrul Khan.

During the meeting, they exchanged greetings with each other and discussed ways to develop bilateral relations and enhance cooperation between their respective countries.  

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, BNP Chairman’s Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee member Humayun Kabir, BNP Chairman’s Advisory Council member Dr. Mahdi Amin, Chairman’s Press Secretary Saleh Sibli and officials from the US Embassy in Dhaka were present during the meeting.
