Tarique Rahman allotted ‘Sheaf of Paddy’ symbol in Bogra-6 constituency

BOGURA, Jan 21, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairman Tarique Rahman has been officially allotted the ‘Sheaf of Paddy’ symbol for the Bogura-6 (Sadar) constituency.  

The symbol was formally today (January 21) handed over by the district's Returning Officer and Bogura Deputy Commissioner Md Toufiqul Rahman.  District BNP President Rezaul Karim Badsha 

On behalf of Tarique Rahman, Bogura District BNP President Rezaul Karim Badsha received the symbol.

At the same time, representatives of Nagorik Oikya President Mahamudur Rahman Manna accepted the ‘Kettle’ symbol for the Bogura-2 constituency.

The allocation of election symbols for the upcoming 13th National Parliament election was completed on Wednesday across all seven parliamentary constituencies of Bogura district.

 The process was conducted by Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Taufiqur Rahman at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.

Earlier, the Returning Officer held a meeting with candidates and their representatives, urging them to strictly adhere to the election code of conduct. 

According to sources at the Returning Officer’s office, a total of 34 candidates have been finally allotted election symbols in the seven constituencies. Among them are seven candidates from BNP, seven from Jamaat-e-Islami, three from Jatiya Party, seven from Islami Andolon Bangladesh, and one independent candidate.

Election Office sources further said that 39 candidates had initially submitted nomination papers for the seven constituencies.
