Kobir stresses high-level exchanges to deepen Saudi ties

DHAKA, Aug 30, 2026 (BSS) - State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir today underscored sustained high-level exchanges and regular engagements between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia to maintain the current momentum and further elevate bilateral relations.

He made the remarks when Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Abdullah Zafer bin Abiyah called on him at the foreign ministry here, according to a ministry statement.

During the meeting, the state minister and the Saudi envoy expressed satisfaction over the steady progress in cooperation between the two countries across various sectors.

Kobir stressed the importance of maintaining regular engagement between Dhaka and Riyadh to build on the existing momentum in bilateral relations.

He said sustained high-level exchanges would help further strengthen the longstanding relationship and advance cooperation for the mutual benefit of the two countries.

The meeting came amid growing engagement between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia aimed at expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
