SANGSAD BHABAN, Feb 7, 2024 (BSS) - Jatiya Sangsad (JS) today formed twelve parliamentary standing committees on different ministries.

Chief Whip of the JS Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury on behalf of the Leader of the House and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina proposed the construction.

Later, the proposals were adopted by voice votes with Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.

The standing committees are - parliamentary standing committee on the ministry of Information and Broadcasting headed by Kazi Keramat Ali, JS body on land ministry headed by Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, JS body on foreign ministry headed by AK Abdul Momen, JS body on Housing and Public Works headed by Sharif Ahmed, 

JS body on the ministry of Hill Tracts headed by Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing, JS body on Home headed by Benjir Ahmed, JS body on Expatriates Welfare and overseas employment headed by Imran Ahmed, JS body on post, telecommunication and information technology headed by Kazi Nabil Ahmed,

JS body on law , Justice and parliamentary affairs headed by Mustafizur Rahman, JS body on Rules of Procedure headed by Begum Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, JS body on private member's bills and resolutions headed by Qamrul Islam and JS body on privileges headed by Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury.
