DHAKA, Oct 20, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted that weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.
"Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country", according to a met forecast for next 24 hours from 9am today.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may fall slightly over the country, it said.
Trough of low lies over North Bay. A low pressure area is likely to form over the Eastcentral Bay and adjoining North Andaman Sea during next 24 hours.
Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 34.4 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda while the minimum temperature today was recorded 21.0 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 78 millimeters (mm) at Sandwip.
The sun sets at 05:28 PM today and rises at 05:59 AM tomorrow in the capital.
