GP, Ericsson tie up to deliver better customer services

DHAKA, Nov 24, 2024 (BSS) – Mobile phone operator Grameenphone and tech-giant Ericsson have teamed up for collaboration to focus on innovation, growth, and deployment of cutting-edge solutions through technology trials, workshops, and pilot projects for better experience to the users.
 
This collaboration will also engage industry partners, regulators, and government bodies for sustainable growth in the telecom sector, said a press release.

It said Grameenphone and Ericsson signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) will leverage Ericsson's expertise to deliver better customer experience by evolving the network.

The MoU will also enhance and advance the partnership between Grameenphone and Ericsson which began in 1998.

Niranjan Srinivasan, Chief Information Officer of Grameenphone, said, “Partnering with Ericsson is a key step towards the telco tech vision of Grameenphone. The technology that we intend to collaborate on will transform and deliver a superior experience for our customers built on our common AI first approach & ambition.”

David Hägerbro, Head of Ericsson Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh said, "Our award-winning AI and Automation solutions will allow Grameenphone to respond even better to the evolving needs of its customers and meet the increasingly complex demands on the network.”
