DHAKA, Oct 23, 2024 (BSS) – Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Mainul Islam and Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Mainul Hassan today visited the injured policemen at the Central Police Hospital (CPH) here.   

Nine policemen out of 25, who were injured yesterday while performing their professional duties at Bangabhaban and its adjoining areas to maintain the law and order have been undergoing treatment at the CPH, said a police press release.  

The rest 16 policemen took first aid from the hospital, it said.

During their separate visits to the hospital, the IGP and DMP commissioner enquired about the health condition of the cops and asked the authorities concerned to ensure proper treatment for the injured. 
 
High officials of police were present during the visits.
