DHAKA, Nov 24, 2024 (BSS) - The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today detained a youth with two pistols and 30 rounds of bullets from the Palangkhali border under Ukhia upazila in Cox's Bazar district.

Commander of Cox's Bazar Battalion (34 BGB) Lt Col Abdullah Al Mashruki said the BGB men, during its anti-smuggling drive in the Nolbunia area inside Bangladesh territory, detained Abdur Rahim, 32, son of Altaz Miah, an inhabitant of Balukhali of Ukhia of Cox's Bazar, with the firearms and ammunition.
 
A legal action is underway in this connection.
