Nahid mourns death of former MCD DG Akther Hossain

DHAKA, Jan 1, 2025 (BSS) - Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md Nahid Islam today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Akther Hossain, former director general of Mass Communication Department (MCD).

In a message of condolence, the adviser said Akther Hossain was a skilled officer. His dedication to his work will be remembered forever, he added.

Nahid prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Akther Hossain died today at a city hospital.

He went on retirement yesterday (December 31, 2024).
