Ex MP Shahidul of Natore sued by ACC

DHAKA, Jan 1, 2025 (BSS) - The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today  filed a case against former lawmaker Shahidul Islam Bakul of Natore-1 (Lalpur-Bagatipara) constituency for possessing  wealth illegally worth about Taka two crore, 27 lakh, 49 thousand and 645.

ACC Director General (Prevention) Md Akhter Hossain briefed the journalists today.

He said, Shahidul concealed information in the wealth statement, submitted to ACC.

The case has been filed under section 27(1) of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act, 2004, section 5(2), of the Money Laundering Prevention Act 1947 and also sections 4(2) and 4(3) of 2012.
