DHAKA, Jan 03, 2025 (BSS) - A training initiative taken by electric vehicle manufacturer, BYD has received huge response from local drivers as registration process for this training began today.

The training will be held in batches every Friday from January 10 to February 14 this year, said a press release.

A few days ago, BYD announced the roll out of a CSR programme of driver’s training for local drivers to equip them with necessary knowledge required for driving new energy vehicles (NEV).

A total of 700+ drivers lined up for registration.

Imtiaz Nawsher, Chief Marketing Officer, BYD Bangladesh, said for the first time in Bangladesh, any brand has taken such an initiative to train drivers and create awareness among the driver community about the NEV driving.

“We’re overwhelmed with the response, which is indicative of the growing demands of NEV vehicles in the country. We’re delighted to bring such an initiative to the country,” he added.
