Fakhrul mourns death of BNP Sylhet district leader Farid

DHAKA, Jan 03, 2024 (BSS) – Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Farid Ahmed, advisor of the BNP Sylhet District unit.

In a message of condolence, the BNP Secretary General described the late Farid Ahmed as a religious, honest, and respectable person who earned the admiration and respect of all those who knew him in the community.

“He was a firm believer in the ideals and principles of Shaheed President Ziazur Rahman as well as in the philosophy of Bangladeshi nationalism,” he said, adding, “Farid Ahmed was known for his active participation in each of party’s initiative and his unwavering commitment to the BNP’s goals”.

The BNP Secretary General prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Meanwhile, Sylhet District BNP President Abdul Kayum Chowdhury and the General Secretary Advocate Imran Ahmed Chowdhury also issued separate messages of mourning, expressing their sorrow over the death of their prominent party advisor.
