BAGERHAT, Jan 04, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Standing Committee member Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan today said those who are now getting involved in wrongdoings should take a lesson from the fate former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had to face.

“Sheikh Hasina was not only forced to resign, but also fled the country with her only sister. This is how criminals have to flee,” he told a reception of BNP’s Education Affairs Secretary and Open University Vice-Chancellor Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam at Azizia Secondary School ground in Morelganj Upazila Sadar.

Moyeen Khan said the nation has been freed from the 15 years of dictatorial regime because of the students’ supreme sacrifice. “Only students can face the bullets for the country but a politician has to think about many things like his family and property before standing in front of bullet,” he said.

Morelganj Municipality BNP Member Secretary Principal Jahangir Al Azad chaired the rally while BNP Research Affairs Secretary Agriculturist Shamimur Rahman Shamim, Mass Education Affairs Secretary Dr. Morshed Asif Hasan, Open University Treasurer Abul Hasnat Md. Shamim and Bagerhat District BNP Convener ATM Akram Hossain Talim also spoke on the occasion.

Tanti Dal Joint General Secretary Kazi Moniruzzaman, former District BNP Vice-President Khan Monirul Islam, District Mohila Dal President Shahida Akhter, BNP leader Khan Matiar Rahman and district and upazila BNP leaders and activists were present at the event.
