DHAKA, Jan, 04, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has stood by the family of Sabuj Hasan, a local leader of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) in Sherpur district, who was killed during the anti-discrimination student movement.

BNP Health Affairs Secretary Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam went to meet the family of Sabuj Hasan at his residence today at the directive of Tarique Rahman.

Sabuj's father Md. Azahar Ali, and his wife, Sajeda Khatun, broke down in tears while narrating the incident of the authorities handing over the body of Sabuj, who was shot dead by local "Awami terrorists", to the family without an autopsy.

On behalf of Tarique Rahman, financial assistance was provided to the martyr's family, Rafiqul Islam told BSS tonight.
