DHAKA, Jan 5, 2025 (BSS) - The government has exempted 826 members of the 
families of martyrs in the July-August uprising from giving proof of filing 
income tax returns for purchasing savings certificates with the money 
provided to them as government assistance. 

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has taken the move as per the Section 
264, Sub-Section (4) of the Income Tax Act 2023. 

The Tax Policy wing of the NBR issued an order in this regard today.
